Moving at some velocity. Official League announcement is coming this week, and I've started rolling forward with securing a couple venues for Chicago events... those look at least now like they'll happen, but there's still many discussions to happen. I've also heard that a rep of US/ITI is coming to Chicago to discuss the day with Ben and Deb this week as well.

I think we could use your help, actually, spreading the word about WTD in the U.S. I think if people hear about it from many sources, they're more likely to think of ways and spend a little bit of energy coming up with a way to participate. Getting participation to happen in the U.S. seems to be the most critical part of making sure we have enough momentum to make NEXT year's event a little more impactful.

Check out wtd09.wordpress.com for ideas and updates... And I'll send you a draft email to blog or forward along! Want to make it easy to participate in any way that people want to participate, which means having a wide conversation and encouraging any and all forms of participation.

This project is like an onion made of crazy fearlessness - an international game of “Yes, and…”

Ha! I love it.

I think one reason this doesn’t feel like blogging is that I haven’t been keeping up with my Google Reader very well, and having trouble processing other blogs these days. Understandable, but guess what: Being connected with a larger discussion is important for the health and relevance of one’s work.

Probably, but do be careful to turn off the tap on low-quality input. We need Nick Keenan at the top of his creative form, which won't happen if he's drowning in crap. I recently pruned off a bunch of clogging feeds in NetNewsWire, and boy did it feel good.

Also, huzzah for awesome families.
